Love is Not by Force; Love is a Force

Someone once said love don't cost a thing. Either they were lying or they were misinformed, because love costs everything! The idea that we can love for free, is preposterous! If love doesn't cost you anything, then you haven't started loving the right way.

There's a way to love; not how we feel like it, not how convenient it feels, but from a place of sacrifice. Love flourishes more from the place of sacrifice and when we love right, that's worship to GOD. Wait...so all your life, you've thought & taught that love is self-enriching — that it's all about you? Sorry, not sorry but you've been taught wrong. Love is sacrificial and love when loved according to the precepts & prescriptions of GOD, is worship to the One who's nature is Love.

We can't impose our limited ideas & ideals on a Spirit Being who's been alive since before time, space & matter began. We aren't the ones to tell GOD what love should look like or feel like. If we really want to get love right, we need to follow GOD's instructions & obey them to the letter. I know people take advantage of hopeful romantics like us and trust me, we won't always get it right. But getting it wrong sometimes doesn't make us failures. It makes us human and part of being human is being able to learn from our mistakes to ensure we never make them again. Love is a journey, not a destination. Love is a course, not a curse. Love is not just a feeling, it's a conscious & intentional choice we make daily towards others. Love is powerful; in the right hands, it can build up, but in the wrong hands, it can tear down to shreds. I've said this before but I'll say this again; love is not by force, love is a force. So before you take off like a tornado 🌪️, take time to cross-examine your heart & intentions; and if you're found wanting, don't beat yourself up about it. Open your heart to learn, unlearn & grow in the knowledge of true love, because love has original and counterfeit. We can't separate love from GOD, even when it's romantic. Same way we can't separate ourselves from breathing. For love to flourish, we have to totally surrender to The One, in whose image & likeness we're created in; whose Spirit lives in us & whose will we are aligned to. Love never dies! Love is new every morning and we can experience this reality of love if we choose to love as GOD commands that we do; which means forgiving always, putting others first…always & growing in intimacy with Jesus everyday! Outside of GOD, love always fails!! But with GOD, love will NEVER fail.
